Created by Oregon artist, Libby Carruth, this statue portrays the struggles of returning Vietnam warriors.
Made of black granite columns honoring the names of all Oregonians who died in Vietnam as listed by their home of record. It will also salute all the branches of our military.
Located near the vegetation and water feature, this will be used for gatherings and events and will be supplied with electricity.
Four benches will be placed within the memorial to honor the Oregon Vietnam Double Gold Star families that lost two sons in the war: the Rowden, Wright, Evans and Johnson families.
Created by Rip Caswell, this statue depicts a nurse tending to a wounded soldier.
A swale using natural irrigation will feature vegetation similar to native grasses and vegetation in Vietnam.
These exhibits are located at #7 on the map, these stations will honor all Missing in Action (MIA) and Prisoners of War (POW) from all conflicts.
